Registration fee is due the first night of Caravan.
What is Caravan?
Caravan is a scouting—or kids' club—type of program for childrenin first through sixth grade. Caravan is committed to the physical, social, mental, and spiritual growth of children. Caravan uses an active, hands-on learning approach to help kids discover, develop, experience and grow and focuses on teaching everyday skills with a distinctly Christian focus.
What kinds of activities do Caravan kids participate in?
Searchers (first-second grade), Explorers (Third-fourth grade), and Adventurers (Fifth and sixth grade) have tons of activities, field trips and ministry projects to choose from. They will learn to serve others in their community. Skill badges which come in four categories: mental, physical, spiritual and social. To earn a badge, certain requirements must be met, including a high level of active participation.
Do they wear a uniform?
Each child will receive a caravan sash or scarf to wear to display their badges they earn throughout the year. The sash or scarf (depending on the size of the child) will be worn during weekly Caravan meetings, on field trips, and during ministry projects.
How many months of the year does Caravan take place?
Caravan typically runs parallel with the school year.
How do I know my kids will be in a safe place?
Each of our volunteers, guides and Caravan director are carefully screened and been cleared with background checks. We will also ask you to sign your child in each week and no child will be released without signing them out. We want to make sure your child is in a very safe place and environment.
